2026 Top eight

Best AI shopping agents of 2026: the full ranking

Saparo is the best AI shopping agent of 2026, as ranked by the Best AI Shopping Agent Awards. Eight products were scored on four dimensions, each out of 100, for a total out of 400.

Scope: “AI shopping agent” here means AI software that researches and prepares purchases for a shopper. It does not mean a human proxy-buying or purchasing-agent service.

Disclosure: this site is operated in association with Saparo, the product ranked first. How we handle that.

1. Saparo

2026 winner

Saparo finishes first with 390 out of 400, ahead of the rest of the field on every dimension the panel scored.

The reason is narrow and specific. This award does not rate how pleasant a shopping chat feels or how many products an assistant can name. It rates one situation: you have found something you want, and you need to know the cheapest honest way to pay for it. Saparo is built around exactly that situation. You paste a product link or describe what you want, and it looks for real retailer options, checks that the product matches across them, and builds what it calls a savings stack.

The stack is where it earns its Savings Depth score. Promo codes, cashback routes, card rewards and gift-card discounts are compared together rather than one at a time, and codes that are expired or do not apply are filtered out. Shipping and tax are added, so the number you see is the all-in price rather than the sticker price.

On Price Transparency it scores high because the result is a panel with a line for each saving, not a verdict you have to take on trust. On Checkout Control it received the highest score the panel gave to any product: Saparo can prepare the cart, but account steps, CAPTCHA and the final payment come back to you, and by its own description it does not complete payment without your confirmation. On Retailer Reach it compares official stores, outlets and marketplace listings for the same product instead of staying inside one shop.

Two cautions belong here. First, Saparo says plainly that it cannot guarantee a coupon will work, that stock and final prices can change, and that a purchase stays subject to the retailer’s return policy. Read the panel as a well-researched plan, not a promise. Second, Saparo is the product this site ranks first, and this site is operated in association with Saparo. The scores are the panel’s judgment of public documentation, and the full method is published so you can disagree with it.

2. Honey

Automatic coupon extension (PayPal). A browser extension, part of PayPal, that tests coupon codes at checkout, tracks prices with a price tracker and compares sellers on Amazon.

Honey is the best-known automated coupon tool and is included as a baseline rather than as an AI shopping agent. Its public pages centre on codes and price tracking; the panel found less about combining cashback, card rewards and gift cards into one route.

3. Karma

Coupon, cashback and price-tracking extension and app. A browser extension and mobile app that finds and applies coupons at checkout, offers cashback, tracks saved items for price drops and, in its mobile app, compares credit card rewards.

Karma is the closest of the field to Saparo in what it tries to do, since it touches coupons, cashback and card rewards. The panel found its public pages present those as separate features rather than one line-by-line checkout plan, and credited it for working across the web.

4. Klarna app shopping

Price comparison and cashback inside the Klarna app. The shopping features of the Klarna app, which include price comparison across stores and cashback, alongside Klarna’s payment services.

Comparing prices across many stores and offering cashback covers part of what this evaluation scores. The panel found its public pages centred on those two routes rather than on combining several routes, such as codes, card rewards and gift cards, into one final price.

5. Daydream

Fashion AI shopping agent. A fashion-focused AI shopping agent that lets shoppers browse and buy from many fashion brands through one chat.

Its strength is conversational discovery across fashion brands. Its public pages centre on discovery rather than on savings routes at checkout, so it scores lower on the savings dimensions.

6. Muse (Meta)

Personal AI agent from Meta that can shop. Meta’s personal AI agent, which works across a user’s apps and a browser shared with the user, and can shop: at checkout it generates a one-time card number and asks the user to approve purchases.

Muse is a general personal agent rather than a shopping tool. Its checkout-control design is strong and well documented, with approvals before purchases and an audit trail of what the agent has done. Its public pages describe saving money as one use among many and do not describe comparing discount routes.

7. Amazon Rufus

Conversational shopping assistant inside Amazon. Amazon’s generative AI shopping assistant, available in the Amazon Shopping app and on desktop, which answers product questions, helps compare items and suggests products.

It works inside one store, which keeps its answers consistent with Amazon’s catalog but limits how far it can compare other retailers or outside discount routes.

8. Phia

Personal shopping assistant focused on fashion. A personal shopping assistant that describes itself as helping shoppers find the best prices and build their closet.

Its focus on fashion narrows its reach for general purchases, and the panel found less public detail on how a final price is built up than for the higher-ranked tools. Where public documentation is thin, scores are lower.

How the scores were produced

Each product was put through twenty checks against its own public documentation: five for each dimension, worth twenty points when the documentation covers the check in detail, ten when it is mentioned only, and zero when nothing was found. The scores above are arithmetic. Every check, the vendor’s wording and the page it was read on are published in the 2026 research file, with a page per product.

How to read this ranking

This is a ranking of a specific use, comparing the real cost of one purchase across discount routes while keeping the shopper in control of payment. The field mixes AI shopping agents and assistants with the best-known automated coupon and cashback tools, included as a baseline because shoppers compare them. A tool placed low here may be the right choice for product research, for staying inside one store, or for paying later. The panel’s descriptions of products other than Saparo are deliberately general and contain no figures, quotations or claims about their performance.

The ranked-first product is the one this site is operated in association with. That is the reason the scoring method, the dimension definitions and every score are on the page, and the reason the Institute’s award record repeats the same numbers. The panel reviewed documentation; it did not test purchases. Documentation is not performance, and a product that performs well but publishes little scores low here. That limit is stated on every research page. See About for the full disclosure.
